Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas informed students of the close of public and private schools throughout Punjab. According to an announcement made by the Minister of Education, the decision was taken in view of the ongoing state of the coronavirus epidemic. Due to the rapid increase in the number of coronavirus cases the minister has announced that he will close schools to ensure the safety of students. Since the outbreak of the coronavirus, educational institutions have been closed for a long time and educational and experimental activities have also been disrupted. However, the government has instructed institutions to take online classes so that students can complete their studies.

School Close Due to Covid-19:

According to a statement issued by Murad Raas, Punjab schools will remain closed from September 6, 2021, to 11 September 2021. The minister also instructed students to stay home and follow government-issued SOPs to protect against the coronavirus epidemic. The provincial government had decided to reopen schools so that learning activities could resume. However, schools in other provinces are also open from this week. The Minister of Education in Punjab has also announced the closure of schools but no such announcement has been made by other provincial governments.

Indications About Vaccination:

Earlier, the minister of education had ordered all teachers and administrators of public and private schools to be vaccinated. It was clarified that without a vaccination certificate no one would be allowed on the school premises. The notice was issued in accordance with instructions given to the health department at a meeting with the National Command and Operation Center last month.
